Hethersett Academy expansion project awarded planning permission

NPS Property Consultants Ltd, part of Norse Consulting, has successfully been awarded planning approval for Norfolk County Council Children’s Services expansion project at Hethersett Academy.

The new scheme will feature a brand new dining hall and kitchen, with external terrace-style seating, 2 DT rooms, 2 ICT-rich classrooms, and 9 general-use classrooms.

The expansion will enable the school to expand from 8 forms of entry to 9 forms of entry. The new build will be fully electric, with air source heat pumps and solar PV panels on the roof, ensuring the build is sustainable and working towards Norfolk County Council’s net zero carbon goal.

Construction for the scheme is expected to commence in November 2023, with occupation in January 2025.
