With over 25 years’ experience in the construction, civil engineering and property industry, Paul has a strong background in quality, environmental compliance and sustainability.
He has been involved in a number of industry-wide initiatives, including acting as a technical author for the Construction Industry Training Board and as Deputy Chair for the Carbon sub-group of the Strategic Forum for Construction supporting the government’s Sustainable Construction Strategy.
Since joining the Norse Group, Paul has had a key, group-wide role in promoting, developing and delivering the group’s energy, carbon and climate change services. He also provides support to group customers and internal teams on all environmental and energy-related issues including compliance.
He currently leads a range of challenging energy reduction projects across the UK, including the operational management of Norse Energy, the group’s in-house special purpose vehicle, holding more than 2,200 solar and biomass assets.
Prior to joining Norse, he was responsible for the leadership of Laing O’Rourke’s European environmental sustainability strategy covering Performance and Improvement, Waste Management and Resource Efficiency, Climate Change Impact, Design for Off-Site Manufacturing, and Biodiversity.
